I'm not sure how magic these are, but they are quite nifty. There are several tools packaged into a small space with each of these, but, amazingly, they easily do the job. The look and feel a bit flimsy, but I was able to play around with them and they held up better than I did. (The hard lines of the handles hurt my hands after a while.) The little scoop on the end is used to cut the eyes off potatoes and I didn't think it would be sharp enough to do the job. It did, quite easily. The oddly shaped hollow handles are there to help scrape seeds. This comes in handy with the amount of cantaloupe I go through on a weekly basis.
