These are made of a lightweight material which I was afraid would burn, but I haven't had any issues with them so far. They were a bit hard to cut down to size since I like things to have straight clean edges. They sit nicely on my stove after getting them fitted and are easy to wipe down. I'm interested to see how well these will last in the long run.
