Pretty Lip Gloss but with some Drawbacks

I got this lip gloss by Qibest largely just because I have a shorter of decent colors to use for work and I have been trying to make sure I am ready to go if I need to get dressed up for work. I thankfully don’t have to dress up very often, but we have an annual party coming up that I need to look a bit nicer than usual for. This particular lip gloss set arrived on time and the packaging was undamaged. The four tubes of lip gloss came in a black box that allows you to see each of the colors and the four colors are a very tight fit. I had to tear the box slightly in order to get the lip gloss out of the box.
I tried out each of the colors in the box, although my favorite was the matte brown because it blended really nicely into my lips. However, the shades are not a match for what is shown in the Amazon advertisement so I would be prepared for that. With that disclaimer though, I will say they all looked nice enough on me. I have paler skin with a slight pink tint in my cheeks without any make-up and matte colors and nudes tend to work the best on me. At $11.99 on Amazon though, they are certainly worth the price to try even if you have a different skin tone or something.
Overall, I would rate this product a 3 out of 5 stars. The shades are pretty and the lip gloss went on very smoothly, which I was really glad to see. I docked one of the stars for the fact that the advertisement does not match the real life application. My only other complaint is that these lip glosses seemed to dry out my lips pretty badly if I did not put on a coat of some sort of moisturizing lip balm or lip gloss with it. Now, I don’t wear make up a lot, so it could be that my skin is not just used to it. Also, it was very easy to fix with just a bit of moisturizing. I definitely do think this lip gloss is worth giving a shot if you have the right skin tone for it.
