I have a berberis bush along a fence and it is awful to have to prune it, as the thorns are incredibly long and sharp and I end up with many cuts and scrapes. Wearing these gloves makes it much less dangerous. The sleeve part of the glove is quite long, and so protects almost to the elbow.
