These trimmers are ergonomically correct, they have a nice grip to them, non-slide which is nice when you are holding a pet. For my dog, he seen them coming and after many trips to the vet to have this done and out of my arms being scared, he just stopped and let me do the trimming. I liked that he held still because it made for a smooth cut, that means no follow up filing down. Keeping a pet's nails trimmed has never been easier or in our house cheaper, because this will save me the trip to the vet, the $20.00 fee for it to be done, and a nervous dog in the process of the visit. I have a lap dog, so there is no wrestling with him to trim his nails and with the handles being long enough that I can hold a paw, trim and see the cut without a struggle makes for a quick happening too. Sharp stainless steel will not rust with proper care, wipe off with disinfectent cloth dry and put up for the next time.
