My two cats have flipped for this...

They don't want to use the water dish anymore.  They love their new fountain.  I haven't had it very long but it came with a great instruction book that completely helps you with setup.  Very easy and helps you with maintenance on it and the pump.  The pump can come apart for periodic cleaning. For cleaning, it comes with a very thick microfiber towel!  It also comes with its own rubber mat to prevent any splatters by the cats getting on your floor.  It's very quiet and I don't hear the pump or the water.  It holds a lot of water and doesn't take up much room at all.  I wanted something safe for my little furballs and it comes with two filters.  I will have to order the filters when I'm on my second one.  You simply rinse it under cold water for a little while and put the top on and plug it in.  Very simple set up.  The pump seems pretty strong too.  The constant movement of the water is healthier for my pets.  Our water forms a slight film if it's still for about three days.  Their old water dish held about .75 liters and you could see a film forming in the tank.  This is why I chose a fountain!  If I'm drinking my water filtered I wanted them to have it that way too.
