I have had a few food sealers and yes some are better then others. But if you are looking for a nice easy to use unit then this one may be the one.
I like that it has a locking system so the unit doesn't pop open on me. I also like that there is a vacuum/seal button that does both thing with the touch of a button. But there are also seperate bottuns for vaccuum and seal so when only needed to seal something all I have to do is hit the button.
The thing I don't like is that there is no cutter built into the unit. That means I have to use scissors. With that it means I have to make sure to cut a clean straight line on the bags for it to work.
Another thing is that sometimes the combo button does not work, but I have found it does work 9 out of 10 times, not sure if the bag just isn't set into the tray incorrectly or what.
The unit does come with a bunch of presealed bags. So far any brand bag does work in the unit. Over all I would recommend this unit.
