These look like regular bulbs and get plugged in like regular bulbs. However once they are charged (no cords needed, they charge when they're being used) they can be used as a camping light. They come with the hooks included. They are also helpful as emergency bulbs because you don't need to go looking for a flashlight or batteries. It's simple to turn them on. I'd never heard of these before but I'm definitely glad to have them on hand.
