I have 4 dogs, 2 of which seem to bark at everything. I already have a no bark collar that has a remote, which is great for active training. When I saw this one, I figured it would be great to use for when I wasn't home or when I wasn't actively training but they also needed to continue learning not to bark at everything. The goal was for the collar to respond (with the setting you select) when the dog barks.
Unfortunately, this isn't really how this collar works. Yes, it responds when barking occurs. However, it is barking of any kind and may not even be from the dog wearing the collar. I have even had it setting on my desk when barking started and it began vibrating and beeping. Clearly, this is pointless for training purposes. You can't expect the dog to be able to control other dogs' barking. It is therefore unfair that the dog is receiving the consequence that another dog should be receiving. They are essentially being corrected for something that they haven't evne done. This results in nothing but considerable confusion for the dog.
