The Car seat protector by Shmidt’s is thicker and heavier than others I have tried. The car seat protector fit my back seat nicely and stayed in place after the car seat was installed. It protected my leather seats from the “dents” that the car seat leaves with out anything between it and the leather. The protector also protected the leather from spills and food being ground into the leather.
The only issue I had was with the strapnthat went around the headrest. It would not stay tightened after the car seat was installed. It would loosen and fall causing the top of the protector to droop. A safety pin strategically put in the right place corrected the issue.
