I was using a blanket which I constantly had to pull and tug at and adjust. This is really soft and cozy. It was really an inexpensive makeover that I wouldn't hesitate to do again. The decision of making the whole living room look better was worth it. The fit was generous enough for my very large couch.
I recommend it as a cold weather couch cover. I would like something cooler feeling for summer but this is perfect for Autumn and Winter.
