I have some professors that want us to do an oral report and I had been using the mic on my computer but it was not picking up well enough without me almost shouting the whole time.  Now most people that know me know my voice carries pretty well so if I have to shout, that is not a good thing :D  This microphone workes very well with my computer and was very easy to hook up and use.
