I had bought this for my youngest daughter for Christmas but ended up putting the wrong name on the package, my son n law ended up with it and decided it was a scarf, rather large one at that! In all honesty, it was air packed so it was shrunk up pretty tight when it arrived so he had no clue what it was but loved the whole idea that it was something to be worn. I finally told him what it really was offering to take it back and even showed him what it was, he decided he liked it even more and kept it.... lol
As I mentioned above it does come packaged in an airtight back so it doesn't take up a lot of room. It is easy to stretch out into place to get it to the mermaid tail form. The blanket is made of nice quality materials and seems to be nice and soft. Once it is pulled apart it looks just like a mermaid tail and is large enough for an adult.
