I opted for a manual grinder because I prefer the more quiet sound and can also hear the beans being ground. I was very happy with the simple stainless steel design and construction of the grinder, pieces are easy to disassemble for cleaning and reassemble. I only wish the resovoir were a little bigger to hold more grounds, but nonetheless, good quality grinder that I have been using frequently.
