I have a LOT of skin problems... dry skin, dark spots, scars, acne...You name it and I’ve probably got it. I have a hard time finding a mask that doesn’t aggravate any or some of the symptoms. Usually I’ll find one that will relieve some symptoms but make others flare up. This mask did nothing but help soothe my skin, which was a blessing compared to what I generally go through with masks.
The mask itself is thick, but is velvety feeling. It goes on thin for how thick it feels in your fingers so I layered it on pretty solid. You wait fifteen-twenty minutes for it to dry and then wash it off with warm water. You’d think since it is mud, it would have an off smell, but it doesn’t. It actually smells fresh and pretty pleasant so you’re not stuck with something nasty on your face for twenty minutes.
After I rinsed it off, I was really surprised to find that my face was not red like it usually is with other masks. This mask had a calming effect on my skin. I used this mask in conjunction with some witch hazel toner, the Calily Life serum I reviewed in an earlier post, and a coconut oil moisturizer and the results were wonderful. I will definitely be using this once a week.
The mask has a variety of minerals and organic oils to help soothe and rejuvenate skin. Nothing in it is harsh and nothing irritated my skin (which coming from me is a good sign). My skin feels fantastic without having to pay a ridiculous price for a mask.
