I have talked about my aggressive chewer destructo-dog many times in the past and have gone through a few different toys with him, most of which either he didn't like and refuses to play with, or which he has destroyed. I am always looking for something that can help him with his need to chew since otherwise he spends his time licking at himself and creating sores since he has sensitive, allergy ridden skin. I decided to try this one out with him and see if he would like it since the last one he didn't like. This toy was a hit from the start. The two dogs ended up taking it away from each other and tried to play tug o war a few times. Then the toy got buried in the bottom of their toy box and they forgot all about it, so I had assumed they didn't like it any more and had gotten bored. My son pulled it out yesterday and they immediately went back to playing with it again. Neither dog seems to be chewing on it, though. I thought they'd use it like a chew toy and gnaw on it. But they prefer to carry it around and try to get someone to try to take it from them, which is the same thing they do with tennis balls. It is standing up to the tugging and play though. I am very pleased with this toy so far. It is one they are enjoying thoroughly.
