I was a little outside the box in my usage for this product. I'm using them to paint my toes. I have to say they work really well, are comfortable for me, and unlike the foam separators that always manage to slip off of my toes when I try to walk with wet polish, these stay in place! If you are worried about messing up your nail polish when you remove them, just use a coat of quick dry top coat before you remove these and you will prevent that from happening. Overall, very happy and glad I got these
