LOVE this wig, color, and look!

I picked up this wig on a whim. It is April, so no where near Halloween. And I have no need to have a wig like this on hand. I am a mom that stays home with my kids. I go to typical mom things - church, school functions, extra-curricular activities, doctor's appointments. I DO work part time, on a contract basis, and don't think this would be a very professional look for me to have when going in to a school classroom to supervise a student teacher. But I wanted the wig because it was something different, something FUN! It was a total whim.   I have absolutely no experience with wigs, with wearing them, putting them on, caring for them. I have nothing to compare them to in terms of quality.  I can say that the hair itself is fairly course and definitely doesn't feel like real hair whatsoever, but I didn't expect it to. I figured it was more of a costume wig. For the price I paid, I knew it was not something that would be high quality. But I was pleased with what I DID get. I have only picked up a wig once before from a Halloween store and this was much better than the one I had before.   The color is absolutely gorgeous. I love the shade. The pictures don't do it justice. It is so vibrant and bright. It is a pretty purple, but there are shades of purple and blue throughout that give it dimension. The blues are blended in so well you don't see it unless you are specifically looking for it. The whole thing comes across as just a deep shade of purple. I love love LOVE the color!   The wig cap inside is mesh, so it is breathable. It has very thick bangs and super long straight hair that hangs almost to my elbows when on. You can make adjustments to the cap inside. There are little loops all the way around the inner border that you can hook the elastic strap to, customizing the size of it to fit your head and keep it in place without needing hairpins. It also comes with a stocking cap that you can put over your head and regular hair, to make it easier to put the wig on. I didn't use it at all. I just pulled my hair back and tucked in all of the edges, then put the wig over it.   Because it was such a different look for me, I did my makeup darker and found a bright, sparkly pink colored lipstick to wear that complimented the color of the wig. I even attempted false eyelashes for my pictures with the wig on. I was shocked at how I looked after. I was definitely NOT the typical mom when I did all of the makeup and the wig. I couldn't believe the transformation and honestly didn't feel it even looked like me.   I sent the pictures of me wearing it to a few people and laughed at their responses. They all said it was very sultry and sexy. Mad sexy was one comment I got. My mom told me I had to post the picture on my Facebook profile, so I did. And I have sat back and laughed at the comments that have been coming through there, too! I am a little surprised at who has responded and the overwhelming support for me to keep the look and "rock it." I never would have thought it would be as accepted as it has been for me. I don't foresee myself doing it, but I have had fun with seeing the responses and enjoyed the chance to dress up.   If you are in to cosplay or have a need for a great colored wig but don't want to spend an arm and a leg to buy one, this is the way to go. This is a great wig for a low price and is a lot of fun!
