I have stubborn 4C hair that I don't get along with and am very frustrated by. This product was recommended to me by my sister, and after reading many a review I decided to buy it. Well let me say I LOVE this flat iron. I have tried everything short of shaving my head but I thought I'd give this a shot. A couple days before flat ironing I put a Mizani Butter Relaxer on my hair for only a few minutes (just enough to get most of the kinks out but I didn't want to over process it). I purchased this flat iron, and I also bought the HSI argan oil heat protectant spray as well as the HSI leave in treatment (the larger size of the sample that comes in the box). I sprayed my hair with the protectant before putting a tiny dab of the treatment on each section. I let it kind of dry a bit, then I ironed away. I only needed 1 pass and it was silky straight. No burning, no nasty smell, nothing. Just a wonderfully smooth iron! I finished with more of the leave in treatment and my hair is softer, shinier, and more manageable than it has ever been IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. It looks professionally done like I just came from the salon and I feel just wonderful. I highly recommend this flat iron and the other HSI products that I mentioned; I couldn't be happier!
