I have always wanted to own one of these so I could make my own Creme Brulee.   I recently took a  cooking class that taught us how to use the torch and make my favorite dish, so I purchased this one for my kitchen.   It was very easy to light and handled well.  I was looking to start with a quality torch for a reasonble price.  I found both in this torch.   I am very please with this purchase.
