Great for Camping!

When the boys go camping, they hate taking a lot of additional items, including unnecessary eating utensils. They always dig through our drawers for the plastic sporks we have. I saw this titanium spork and thought maybe they might want to use this instead.   The spork is super lightweight, so won't make a pack heavy. I honestly think it is lighter than some of our other eating utensils, though not as much so as the plastic ones we have. I like the long handle on it. Not sure the kids will appreciate that, but as a mom who has a horrible time getting things back that are sent on campouts, this will definitely stand out from the rest of the dishes and end up in the right pack in the end - or so I hope. The spoon cup is deeper than most sporks, so it will actually hold soup or liquid better than others. And the tines on the fork portion are a little longer than the plastic ones we have. Those are always my biggest complaints about using a spork - either too shallow or no real way to use it as a fork. Not so with this spork.   The design and shape of it make it not so ergonomic, though. It is very thin, which is what makes it so lightweight. But that also makes it harder to hold on to. I am thinking that I would like to wrap the end and about halfway down with paracord to make a handle. That will also help protect the handle from heating up if left in something hot and avoid potential burns.  And that will also add another identifying element making it unique to my kids...   Overall, great titanium spork. I am pleased with the design and quality, and even more happy with the weight of it. I think this is going to work great for campouts.
