growing food hydroponically

My daughter is in a homeschool group and they are starting to learn about hydroponics. They have an upcoming project where they will be growing lettuce and herbs in jars using the Kratky method. She will be growing them in our utility room without access to enough natural sunlight so I decided to buy this LED grow light for her to help her plants thrive. I like that I can hang this lamp above the plant with the included cables or mount it to the wall behind the plants. The built-in fans will keep the lamp cool while it is running. I am impressed that it has a lifespan of 50,000 hours.

The lamp is lightweight so it will be easy for us to adjust the height of the lamp as the plants grow. We are excited to see how well her plants will do with this grow light and will post progress pictures as we go.
