Charger did not work!

These Powerbeast Wireless Headphones worked well, but I did have some issues with them. First of all, the included charger did not work at all. It would not even begin to charge the product; so, I had to use my own micro-usb charger to give it the initial charge for my testing. I had a bit of trouble setting up the device and pairing it with my media player, and the instructions were very vague and unclear. I ended up requesting assistance from a friend of mine who works with electronics to pair it initially and also to give his own opinion of the product when I was done with my testing.

Once the Bluetooth was paired, however, I really liked the earbuds. They fit into my ear well, without causing the discomfort that many earbuds cause when they are in my ear for too long. I listened to primarily Disney songs on the device and all the songs played clearly through the earbuds with my phone nearby. I also listened to my Harry Potter Audiobooks, where I did notice a very light lag between my device and the earbuds. The lag really was not very significant; however, and was better than many other wireless devices that I have tried out.

When I was moving around, these earbuds stayed in my ears without me needing to constantly re-adjust them, which was a key desire for me with this product. I hate when I go to the gym and my earbuds constantly try to break for freedom when I am exercising and interrupt my music or my book.

I had the friend of mine who works with electronics test this as well, just to get a second opinion. Here are his remarks, “The supplied power cable that was provided with this product did not work to charge it.  I had to supply my own micro usb in order to get the product to charge properly. The charger I used is the one that came with my phone (model LG Stylo 3).  after charging it for about a half hour, I decided to try and set up the headphones. Took me about 10 minutes to figure out and pair the headset, but they are quite comfortable and sound really good for multiple genres of music.  Also had minimal sound delay, at least with my device being in my pocket.”

Overall, I would give this product a 3 out of 5 stars. It would have earned 4.5 stars at least if the included charger functioned and if the instructions for the use of the product were a bit more clear.
