This moon lamps gives off a different kind of light.  Its not harsh.  The whole room gets the glow !!! This lamp changes from 8 different colors.  The lamp is smudge and crush resistant. It is plastic   Its not a gaudy plastic.  There is also a stand that looks like it will not fit.  It will!! The lamp also charges like your cellphone.
