So, as I build my Go Bag (and camping gear), I keep finding new and interesting things that would be good for it, including this awesome travel clothesline. While being able to have something to hang your clothing up might not seem like a necessity, it doesn't take up a lot of space, and it would be useful. The clothesline comes with a 7 foot line that can be stretched so that it is actually a bit longer than that. There are steel hooks at each end that will allow you to connect it to certain items, or it can be wrapped around other things (like a tree), and hooked back onto itself. The clips act as clothespins and hold the clothing on the line. There are also movable little spacers so that your clothing won't shift due to wind or weight, and you can actually space them so that they dry more quickly and without bunching up. The clips themselves may not stand up to extremely heavy clothing, but work well for regular clothing, and it might be possible to hang something lorger over the line iteself and secure in some other manner if necessary. As a final thought, this may work well as a security device if you feel the need for it. Wrap the ends around a tree and hook bells or something else that makes noise when moved to the clips. If animals or anything were to touch the line, it would make a noise to notify you of a possible issue.
