Strange design but pretty fabric

I'm a big fan of the brand of clothing, but this outfit was made a bit oddly. The color itself is beautiful and they work well together. The fabric is very shiny and stretchy/ forgiving. The top has elastic around the neck so it adjusts to your shoulder size. The problem is the bottom of the top. It has no elastic and hangs straight, which imo doesn't work for this crop top. The buttom has wide elastic around the waistline, so it fits well. The shape of it is flattering for curvy girls. However, the pants are way too long. Even pulled up 6 inches they dragged on the floor (which is also awkward placement for the waistband). I'll have this outfit altered and it will be great, but I think the original design could use improvement.
