Good soft brush

My hair is not long and is not thick, so I typically use a smaller brush or a wide tooth comb to detangle it each day. But I was wanting a larger brush, so thought this might be a good one to work with. I liked the looks of it, so went ahead and placed my order.   The brush is definitely bigger and wider than those I have now. It is about five inches long and about 3 inches wide. With the bristles, it is about 2 inches tall. The bristles are mixed - some longer with harder tips on them, others soft bristles that are slightly shorter. I have used brushes that hurt my head when brushing and this one definitely does not. It is soft enough that I would not worry about using it on the baby's hair, though the brush itself is far too large for her head (she is 1 1/2 and her hair is barely down to her neck now, but long enough that we have started brushing it and the baby brushes are way too soft to get the tangles out).   It is a vented brush and is curved to all you to shape your hair while brushing it if you have curls or waves. It is made with boar bristles and nylon pins. Their Amazon listing says not to brush your hair wet, but I can see this being helpful for drying your hair since it is vented and shaped well to accomodate straightening curly hair. I use a vented brush to try to straighten my hair while drying it. I do realize that when you comb your hair while it is wet, you do have the possibility of breakage, so I agree that you should brush your hair when dry when you can. It helps to bring the natural oils out of your head and evenly distribute it through the hair.   I brushed my hair with it and it feels great. Unfortunately, it won't be something I use regularly. It is not hard enough to go through all of my hair. And my hair is not thick. I have a lot of it, but it is thinner and softer, so I was a bit surprised to find it didn't get all the way through.   While this is a great brush, it is not one for me. I WILL be using it with little missie as she grows, though. She took forever to get hair, and it is super curly now, so is always needing to be brushed out over and over again.
