This case is the actual product coloring is lighter than pictured, but still very lovely if you like the design in the first place. There's a slight texture to the cover that I also really like with it. As with all standard Kindle covers, opening this also turns on the Kindle. Have been using this for 2 weeks and so far, its quality looks like it's holding out. I havent had a problem with it and it fits my device well
