Definitely heavier tape and holds without buckling as described. End tabs on top and bottom. Two different layouts of the measurements and easy to read dimensions spell out the fractionals making it great for speed or those confused by regular tapes. Strong magnets on tabs also for holding end in place on metal surfaces and can be used as a magnetic pick up tool for lighter objects. A convenient belt clip for ease if carrying. I am quite pleased with it.
