These are great,  I used these for a birthday party and they were great!  I used a white chalk marker and they came out great. The white was very bright against the black.   I have bought several different tags and once you use markers on them they get wet and start to fall apart.  These tags held up so well!  They are slightly thicker than cardstock.  For the price, you get a decent amount of tags.  The jute that comes with it is of great quality as well.  The best part is that these can be used for many occasions.
