A friend of mine has several house cats and when she gets back home after a few hours away she is greeted with an upturned bowl and a watery mess to clean up. She’s tried heavy ceramic bowls but the results are still the same, she’s convinced that this is some kind of cat conspiracy to stop her from going out.
This is when I suggested getting a pet water dispenser that uses a large reservoir of water which automatically fills the bowl when it falls below a certain level. She liked that idea and decided to get this one, possibly based on the design which she thought was cute.
This one has a 2.8 litre capacity which is stored in a large plastic bubble that fits onto the drinking bowl assembly. There is a sort of valve fitted to the bottom of the bubble which only lets water out when the level in the bowl us low. As this dispenser works by gravity and not some power source it means that it can be placed anywhere and is easy to clean. As far as I know cats haven’t managed to sabotage this water dispenser my friend is happy to be able to come and go as she pleases without coming home to a watery mess ……….. unless the cats are already planning something else ?
