AWESOME fountain!

I have wanted to get one of these pet fountains for my cat for awhile so was excited to see this available to review. I eagerly snapped it up and it has been awesome! I have now applied for some filters to go in it. I worried about how my cat would handle the change from a bowl of water to the fountain. Would she be scared of it? Would she run away? But as soon as I set it up (and it was super easy to put together and worked instantly upon plugging it in), she was up on her cat scratcher tower where we have her food and water so that the dog doesn't get in to it and she was checking it out. She had to play in it at first, slapping at the water as it filtered out and fountained down from the flower design on top, but she quickly tried it out. She wasn't scared in the least. I like that it is constant filtering so her water is always fresh and ready for her. I can easily tell if the water level is getting too low if I can hear the fountaining sound of water running. It has an easy indicator on the side so that you can tell how much water is in it and don't overfill when pouring more in. It also has a soft, muted light that glows and lights up the fountain container. It is not blinding or bright, so works nicely as a soft mood light or night light. I don't see any way to turn the light off, but that's fine for us since I like it and would keep it on anyway. The filter sits easily in the top under the tray the water pours through. I am sure it is about time for me to change it out, but I need to find where to buy them. I assume it would be Amazon since that is where I got the fountain, but haven't taken the time to look yet or to research whether or not other filters would work in it. Overall, I am very pleased with this fountain and am super happy that I got it. It is exactly what I was wanting and is working perfectly!
