A Bit Heavy But Works Well

I am one of those people who cannot sleep without complete darkness and I enjoy a warm compress on my eyes if they are irritated. This pack comes with two warm compress eye masks (one silver and one black). The product arrived on time and undamaged. It was well packaged in its box and came with basic instructions for the warm compress feature as well. I waited a few days to write this review because I wanted to test both of them out.

First of all, the band that keeps the eye mask in place is function. For me, they are a bit too long and I wish the Velcro went a bit further down so it could be snug, but it still worked to keep the mask in place as long as I pulled the band a bit lower. The eye mask is thick as the flax seed which is used for warmth is contained inside. It is a bit heavier than your standard eye mask as a result, so if you mind an eye mask that is heavier, I don’t recommend it.

Once you heat the eye mask, you have to shake it to keep the warmth spread across the front. I will say that it doesn’t hold the heat for very long, and I have to heat it up a bit longer than the times recommended in the instructions. I heated mine for a minute, when the instructions ranged from 30-40 seconds. To its credit, however, I really haven’t found any eye masks that hold heat better either so it is a common problem.

Overall, I would rate this product with a 4 out of 5 stars. The product is built well, holds the heat as well as any other heated eye mask I have found, and is not unattractive. My main complaint is that it is a bit heavy and that it took longer to heat than the instructions recommended. Overall, I would say that it works well to fulfill its function.
