Tooth Whitening Excellence

I have been using charcoal powder to brush my teeth daily now for a few months and LOVE it. I have decided to try a few different brands, though, to see if some are more effective than others. This one was a bit pricier than the others I have been trying out, but I was impressed with one of the Amazon reviews and pictures that showed a before and after, though I was skeptical of it having that effect in just two days. Regardless, I wanted to try it out and see, despite the price.

The package is a lot smaller than the other containers I have gotten, especially given the cost. It comes in a container with a screw on lid. It was sealed tightly with a quality control, air tight sealer, so I was pleased to know it is safe and not contaminated. I still am not quite sure how best to use this, though, which was the problem I had last time. Do I wet my brush and dip it in? Do I take a pinch with my fingers and sprinkle it on my toothbrush? Do I put it directly in my mouth? Needless to say, I have done a variety of those methods but am still not sure what is the best way to do it.

It has a very slight minty taste to it, but not overwhelming. It definitely helps cleanse the mouth and leaves it feeling smooth and clean thanks to the detox properties, but it doesn't leave you with the minty fresh feeling you have after using the tube toothpastes My husband always follows up charcoal toothpaste with just a little tube toothpaste, just to get that minty freshness. It doesn’t burn and isn’t overwhelming.

I still laugh at myself every time I use it. There is nothing more unattractive than a black mouth. I can’t take my eyes off of my mouth when brushing my teeth in the bathroom. I have to be in front of the mirror so I can see the nastiness it creates when brushing. It amuses my kids, too. My oldest is now using it with me, since he wants his teeth whiter and brighter, and I think both of us are already noticing a change in our teeth since starting it. I think he is showing more improvement than I am, since he has not been using the charcoal for the past few months like I have. But both of us are definitely seeing a difference. I still don't know if I want to pay the price for this small of a container, but I am pleased with the results.

This set also came with 2 packets of tooth whitening strips. I can't comment on those, though, as I am not sure how well they work yet. I haven't had the chance to use them. But I am eager to try them out and see if they work! The charcoal alone works great for keeping my teeth whiter, so this would be an added woohoo if they do more.

I am very pleased with this tooth powder and am a FIRM believer in the power of this stuff! I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a more natural way to brush their teeth and whiten their smiles.
