~ What ~
This bottle of 60 gel capsules contains 500 mg each of krill oil along with EPA, DHA, phospholipids, and astaxanthin. Used to support heart and brain health, the oval red capsules are large, being about a half inch long. They are gluten, lactose, and sugar-free. Ingredients added glycerin, bovine gelatin, and purified water. Suggested use is to take 2 soft gels at the same time every day. An expiration date of November 2020 is posted on the bottle.
~ Why ~
I am a major fan of krill oil as I notice when taking it that my brain and memory works more efficiently than when taking only an Omega-3 or fish oil. I like that this supplement is manufactured in the United States and contains capsules of 500 mg each instead of 250 mg like others. Another plus is the added 4 ingredients that further promote brain health.
~ Why Not ~
Some may not like there are only enough pills for a month in the bottle if you want to take 1000 mg of krill a day (the bottle states to take 2 daily). Some may find their fishy smell and taste, as well as their oily feel a problem, but I noticed no effects and the scent was limited to the bottle only. If you do not like swallowing gelcaps, these may not be for you.
~ Wish ~
I wish each capsule contained the 1000 mg instead of only 500 and more than a month’s worth were in the bottle. It would be helpful if the bottle or online stated where the oil came from such as Antartica.
~ Want ~
If you are looking for krill oil as good source of daily Omega-3 and one that contains phospholipids and astaxanthin, this is a great option for a one-month supply. It should be promoted that the product is made in America.
Thanks to Oxomio for this discounted product that I am not obligated to review.
