I have picked up a few different tire pressure gauges in the past, but always found some flaw with them that caused me to keep looking for another. Some were not the most accurate at read outs, some were not a tight fit on the tire valve, while others were not digital or those that were, did not have easily read results. This one looked to solve all of my problems and offered better alternatives to the others.
The packaging was simple, but I am not concerned with packaging. I am concerned with performance of the items within. The tire gauge looked great. I liked the overall look and feel of it. It didn't feel cheap or flimsy in make and design. Though made with a plastic exterior, it feels like it is put together well and will be strong and durable regardless of any abuse it might take in the toolbox or back of a car.
The fit of this in my hand is great. I can easily get a grip on it and hold it steady to get a reading of the tire pressure. It is easy to get a reading, and doesn't take long. The tool is backlit, and the end of it lights up, too, to allow you to easily find the tire valve in the dark and fit it securely to get the reading your want. And being lit, you can read the output and determine if you need to add air or not.
In addition, it also has information printed on the side. It is capable of reading 0 to 150 PSI and though designed for autos, can help you read the pressure of bike tires, too. (Of course you need to know what the correct pressure should be in a bike tire.) The readings printed on the side are the settings of the gauge - 4 settings with range: 0-150PSI / 0-10Bar / 0-10Kgf/cm2 or 0-1000KPa - which you can choose between for the reading you want.
So far this is proving to be far better than my last few tire gauges I have gotten. I am thinking this might be the one I needed and the others can be back ups in the tool box.
