I remember these from the 90s. They are so much fun for kids. They are not a toy to give young children and walk away.... BUT they do offer learning and fun if used under supervision. Children love to stretch then and connect them, and listen to the popping sound that they make. They are also great to use during water play and are easily connected to each other. I like the bright colors that can be discussed while using them. If you give this toy to children and walk away, expect someone to get accidentally whacked because of you spin them rapidly around, they do make a joyous whistling sound. I use them outdoors, where we have more room to appreciate what they offer! I really love these simple toys.. They are open-ended, with many sensory lessons. They are perfect to take on trips to the lake, park, or beach in the summer to entertain children. I love that they include the bonus squishy "snakes" type of tubes that can add to sensory development.
