I wanted to see if this product lived up to all the hype. After warming-up my gas grill to 400°F, I put marinated chicken breasts on the mat. The chicken cooked perfectly. Although they were browned and had some light grill marks, they didn't have the dark grill-marks you would get from being directly on the grate. Clean-up was fairly easy. Most cooking residues came off without any problem, except for two small spots where the marinade must have settled on defects in the mat. After mildly scrubbing these two spots with a Scrub Daddy and dish detergent, two small holes appeared in the mat. I later grilled a steak on the mat, being careful not to exceed 450°F. Again, you don't get the dark grill marks. However, the steak cooked perfectly and clean-up was quick and easy. Best of all, there is no flare-up during cooking and no cooked-on food left on the grates
