I have coarse coiled hair. For my hair a conditioner needs to be as moisturizing as it is nourishing. This initially smells good, with the obvious tropical notes. But it's more of the perfumed tropical than a natural fruity scent and it's annoying after a while. In had to wash it off. The label also doesn't say where such a strong fragrance comes from in a product that calls itself natural. Second, the ingredients are worrisome because the more unaltered natural ingredients are lower down than the "fragrance" ingredient.
Despite that, I found the conditioner helps to detangle my hair, makes it shinier and leaves it softer. I will use this occasionally to detangle in my usual routine. I just really don't have confidence in the ingredients. There are products with more transparency that work better for black hair.
