Nice, sturdy comb

I don't know why I wanted this comb. I have enough brushes and combs to last a lifetime. Every person in my family has a handful of both in their drawers, backpacks, purses, vehicles.... But we don't have a sandalwood comb. This comb is a nice light colored wooden one made with sandalwood that has been coated to finish it and make it smooth. It looks great. Very nice looking comb that doesn't look cheap or flimsy. And it isn't! The comb itself is very sturdy and strong. The teeth on the comb are spread a bit wider than other combs, which makes it perfect for detangling hair. I use it to help detangle little miss's hair after her baths. It does a great job of pulling out most of the snags and tangles, but I still have to follow up with a regular brush once her hair dries to make sure I get out all of the troublesome spots. Because of how they  made it, and I don't know if that is the sandalwood or the finish on the outside, it is anti-static. Of course, when you are combing hair that is wet you don't have to worry about the static build up, and so far that is the only time I have used it.  So I can't say whether using it with dry hair would cause fly aways and static. Regardless, it is a nice comb and is working great for little one's hair.
