I just bought two different LED Flashlights back to back from Amazon. One was for an elderly neifghbor who was using some old, rinky dink flashlight to see his back yard at night and needed better. One was for Chris who lost his again...
So I bought two similar LED flashlights from two different sellers. This Rechargeable LED Tactical Flashlight by eSamcore and the QZX Bright Tactical Flashlight. Both were 1000 Lumen, 5 Modes, Zoomable... the typical tactical flashlight you see on Amazon. Both were under $20 and both function as they should. When My neighbor's flashlight came in the mail, I was so excited to give it to him because he had never seen such a fanchy flashlight, all packgaed in this cool military tactical green case with the battery charger and all. It looked very official and boy, was he impressed! So, was Chris.. He couldn't wait for his to come the next day. So my neighbor thanked me profusely like I had given him a gift costing over $100 not a simple under $20.00 flashlight. Well, he was very impressed and went off to read about it and charge it up. The next day, Chris' flashlight came in the mail. It was a smaller envelope and from my brief read of the description when purchasing, I thought this was going to be a different experience. It was. Instant disappointment. Not with the performance of the flashlight, but with the little rectangle box that fell into his lap when he opened the envelope. Instead of a fancy, important looking green case, his tactical flashlight (the exact same as my neighbors) came in it's original thin, cardboard box. Take it out and there was nothing else. Although it could have been rechargeable, the seller of that flashlight didn't bother to go that route. The seller opted out of including batteries altogether. So, not only was the presentation a disappointment but so was the fact that you couldn't even use it right away!. Chris looked at me and asked why I didn't get him one like I got our neighbor. They were the same price after all. I knew going into the purchase both were the same, but different and admittedly I wanted to see how different. Well, this little experiment should serve as a huge eye opener for sellers that presentation and extras go a long way! This flashlight by eSamscore got it right. The flashlight included a beautiful carrying case, rechargeable batteries to use right away and a "wow" factor that's priceless... all for $20.00. The alternative, for me, was a flashlight that came with none of that -- a shell of a flashlight for the same price. If someone didn't have amnything to compare it to, they'd probably be satisfied.... I thank eSamcore for going the extra mile with theirs. If it costs a little more for sellers to do the extras up front, they willl regain it in the end. I plan on buying 3 more eSamcore flashlights for gifts... and to replace Chris disappointing flashlight. In the end, the little things do pay off. Not only that, it gives the brand backing and makes me want to know more about their other products. Thank you for a cool product -- oh, it works fabulously too!
