I bought this baby monitor to use primarily in my sons' room. I wanted a monitor capable of wide-angle views, and with night vision. This camera delivers on both counts.
The camera itself is very lightweight, as it does not had ever an internal battery. Because of this, it must be connected to an outlet at all times, which is unfortunate in some cases. I would love to be able to charge this and then move it around the house. The cord it comes with is not long, and this reduces the amount of places I will be able to use this in a room lacking adequate outlets.
The quality of the image is excellent - when there is plenty of light, the picture/video really shines. In a dark room, the picture is adequate to see by, but details are not easily visible. I believe this to be the norm for most cameras in this price-range (under $100). I had difficulties with the app and set up, but a representative of the company contacted me before my order came in, and directed me to a website that gave some troubleshooting tips. This leads me to believe that they know about some possible issues that other users have found.
I was able to secure a connection. The app does freeze at the startup screen quite often, but forcing the app to close and then opening it again seems to solve the problem. Once the kinks are worked out, I think most people would be impressed by what this small, aesthetically pleasing camera can do.
Until the problems are worked out, I would be hesitant to recommend this model to someone who isn't fully comfortable with similar technologies and self troubleshooting. I think someone less technologically inclined would give up after a few minutes of failing setup.
