Perfect starter set for beginning videographers

I recently picked up a selfie ring to attach to my phone when taking pictures and doing videos. My phone get places in a gooseneck phone holder that clamps on to my desk. I love the set up and feel like it has really upped my game. But I tend to watch myself instead of looking at the camera lense itself (which isn't all that noticeable since it is so close to the main screen), and the selfie light ring tends to block my view and get in the way. When I saw this gooseneck AND light ring in one tool, I knew I needed it. I still plan to use my individual tools, but for videos and such, I wanted the ring light and gooseneck in one.   This set is amazing. It is a great help when making my videos. I am loving how each new item I try makes things all the better and so much easier to do. And for the price it can't be beat. If you have looked in to phone holders, cameras, light rings or professional lighting, and sound amplification the cost of quality items can be staggering. To get the basic tools I need for my amateur set up at home and to help me gain experience as I explore how to do videos is important since I AM learning. I cannot afford to pay for all of those high end, quality videograpy items that I probably don't even know how to use yet. I need tools like this gooseneck and light combo.   This is an all-in-one, ready to go, plug and play right out of the box set up. I LOVE that. No assembly required, no technical skills needed, just clamp it on to your surface, plug it in, snap your phone in to the holder, turn it on and you are set to go.  Sounds like a lot when you lay it all out that way, but those are all the simple, basic steps needed to power you up and get to making your videos, going live, or face timing.   The desk clamp works great. It is a simple claw clamp that you squeeze to open and close. It has padding in it to protect your surfaces from damage and is nice and strong. I haven't had to worry about it slipping or coming loose in the middle of my videos. It stays in place, even when the phone is attached.  And the brackets that hold the light and the phone holder are easy to position. They are strong, but flexible. I love how this works - being able to move them, twist them, and adjust them to the position I need them in. They are nice and long, so I am easily able to adjust the angle of things to capture the perfect shots.   The phone holder can hold my phone without having to take off the case. I love that because it is such a pain to remove my case every time I want to make a video. It has a ball joint on the back that allows you to adjust the positioning of your phone to suit your needs for being on screen. You can swivel it landscape mode or keep it upright. And you don't have to worry about your phone shifting or falling during the recording because it can be tightened from the back to hold the position.   The light (which can also be purchased alone) is awesome. It is powered by usb. The only problem I see with the usb powering is that it DOES have to be plugged in to power it up. It won't hold a charge. You control your light from the usb cable with a control switch that has your on/off, plus your up and down controls. Luckily I do most of my recording near a computer so that I have easy access to online information in case I need it, so accessing a usb port is not a problem. But if it was, I could easily plug in to one of the numerous power blocks I have (portable charger). As for lighting, you have different settings you can adjust to find your perfect lighting look. There is a warm light (yellow) and a cool light (bright white). You have numerous up and down settings to adjust the amount of light you need.   Needless to say, I am very pleased with this. I love the way it is working for my videos and have now left it attached to my desk for future videos so that I have the angles and adjustment already made and just have to add my phone and turn it on.
