Tested this on a Windows 10 laptop with a USB 3.0 port. Drivers were installed automatically (shows up as Realtek 8812BU Wireless LAN 802.11ac USB), but a mini CD with drivers is included. Our internet provider is Comcast/Xfinity with 300 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload advertised speeds and our Netgear 5GHz router is about 10 feet away. Checking the speed with this adapter shows 298.5 Mbps download and 11.6 Mbps upload. I also did a speed test with my laptop's internal wifi card (Intel Wifi 6 AX200) for comparison, and that speed test showed 350.3 Mbps download and 11.3 Mbps upload. So this little stick has pretty similar speeds. The blinking light is a little bright and it juts out about an inch from the USB port, but for a desktop, it'd be fine. It's also a little warm to the touch, but that's to be expected.
