When I travel I love the versatility of a backpack, but I hate looking like I'm late for school. Enter Pincnel with the answer. Depending on the strap, you can carry it on your shoulder like a purse or sling it over one (or both) of your shoulder to carry it on your back. On subways and crowded streets, I always worry about pickpockets, and while I don't think anything is perfect, this bag has elements to make it harder. In the front are two hidden pockets. I keep lip balm, keys, pens, and my cellphone in them. On both sides of the bag are places to hold water bottles, umbrellas, or other items you might need quick access to. The best part is that the main access zipper is hidden in the back. Yes, this means you have to take your purse off your back to open it, but so would thieves.
Don't be fooled by the small design. The angle allows for so much stuff. In mine today I have my 12" MacBook, a larger wallet, makeup pouch, charger for my cell phone, cords to charge all my gadgets, a granola bar, and a planner/ notebook. All this with room to spare.
