The year before last my family "helped" with clean up after all of my holiday baking and unfortunately, my cookie cutters were put away in a ziplock baggie while still slightly wet and they rusted beyond repair. I tried to get all the rust off to use them last year, but tossed them out of fear of transferring rust to my baked goods. I ended up using a biscuit cutter instead for all of my sugar cookies. So when I saw this set of cookie cutters, I decided I needed to stock up again. We used these for our holiday baking this year, making a few batches of sugar cookies that everyone LOVED as usual (I HAVE to make sugar cookies every year or people get mad at me). They are smaller than I am used to, smaller than my last set of cookie cutters, but I actually liked them better. I was able to get more cookies out of these since I didn't use as much dough to make them up. They are like your typical cookie cutters - they can easily be bent out of shape or back in to shape - so be careful with them unless you want to be reshaping them constantly. They clean up easily, but they ARE metal, so they WILL rust. I made sure this year my kids helped me clean them up and wiped them down with paper towels to be certain they were dry before putting them away until next year. They may have been smaller, but they are great cookie cutters in typical holiday shapes (though one shape was not very clear so we didn't use it - I think it was supposed to be an angel).
