I bought this camera to try work out where a rat was getting into the house. It did the job – found two places. Problem solved. A smallish rat could trigger the camera recording at night, from about 3 meters. This was under pitch black – only using the camera’s built-in infrared light. The software supplied is OK. The camera did freeze early in its usage and required resetting back to scratch. other than that it's a perfect little camera with great picture quality
