Strong strong smell. Smell lasts for months.I purchased these floor mats about 6 months ago and there is still a smell in my car. The smell is not as strong as it was when I first purchased it but there IS still a distinctive smell. Maybe I should have washed them with soap & a water hose first and let them air dry. Anyway, despite the odor, these mats are really nice. I have 3 kids who are sloppy and don't care that they are destroying my car. They came in plastic - easy to open and were very easy to install. I have a Nissa Versa and they fit in my car perfectly. I am very pleased with these mats and like I said, I have had them for about 6 months and they still look new and definitely perform their job. These mats have withstood sand, snow, mud, rain - and still are going strong. Love them!
