I wasn't sure what to expect from this book when I ordered it but wanted to give it a try. The Psalms are some of my favorite things to read for peace and comfort in times of struggle and I wanted to see how the Alabaster Bible compared to the traditional versions I have always used. I was impressed by the quality of the book. It is printed on nice paper and is put together well. It feels like a high end, quality book that will not fall apart. I flipped through the book a little and saw that there were some pages with just text, some with just pictures, some with a mix of both. I found no problems in the printing - no smudges, no streaks, no transfer - and the text all seemed to be correct with nothing missing or left out, no typos, etc. I wasn't too impressed with the images, though. They are great images from good photographers, but they are not my style. I would have wanted more traditional images - ones that relate to the Psalms somehow or another, and give the reader a better visual to connect to. But they might be to the liking of others, as they obviously were to the liking of the creator and publishers. Regardless, it is a well designed and put together book of the Psalms and is sure to please.
