My daughter loves to play pretend so I knew that she would love this playset. This set is geared to items that you would find at most fast food places so I decided that we could use these as a math center during homeschool. We wrote out a menu board with the items available and what each item would cost. We used her cash register and play money to set up a cashier stand next to her play kitchen. I would visit her restaurant and pretend to be a different person each time using different hats and novelty glasses. She would take my order, prepare the food and then add up my total. She had to figure out how much money I owed and how much change she had to give me back.
She enjoyed being able to put the sandwiches together herself to create a custom order. The food snaps together easily similar to certain building blocks. The set came with a plastic serving tray, 1 knife, 1 fork, 1 spoon, 2 cups with lids and attached straws, 1 cake, 1 cookie, a hot dog with bun, a French fry box and 5 individual French fries, a stackable sub sandwich with roll, lettuce, tomatoes, meat and cheese, a stackable hamburger with 2 lettuce rounds, tomatoes, cheese, onions and a meat patty. This set is fun to play with and can also be used as a learning tool.
